Targa Classica is Australia’s premier regularity lifestyle event: a blend of adventure, culture and competition - Italian in spirit, distinctly local in flavour.

The route

The route changes every year. For 2027 it runs west along the coast, turns inland through the Grampians and the goldfields, and finishes in Melbourne.

Day 1 · Mon 1 Mar

Werribee Park to Torquay

Fast, flowing inland roads out to the Surf Coast.
Day 2 · Tue 2 Mar

Great Ocean Road & Otways

Cliffside curves, the Otway Ranges and the Twelve Apostles.
Day 3 · Wed 3 Mar

Warrnambool to Creswick

Up into the Grampians, then east to the goldfields.
Day 4 · Thu 4 Mar

Creswick to Melbourne

Central Victoria, then the run home.

The competition is regularity

Crews are set a distance and a time, and scored on how precisely they hold it. The fewest penalties accumulated over the 4 days of the event wins.
